Travel from Mumbai to Neral or Karjat by local or express train. Some express trains from Pune also halt at Karjat.

From Neral, you have the following options:

Option 1: Toy Train
Take the Matheran mini train from Neral to Matheran station. The hotel is located before Matheran station.
Total time: 2 to 2.5 hours
Option 2: Taxi to Dasturi Naka + Further Options
Hire a taxi from Neral to Dasturi Naka (last vehicle point). From there:
- Walking: 15–20 minutes via mini train tracks
- Horse Ride: 15–20 minutes
- Hand-pulled rickshaw: 20–25 minutes

The hotel is located opposite Myra Point and Indira Nagar.

Option 3: Local Bus
Buses are available from Neral and Karjat stations to Dasturi Naka.

10. Is the toy train operational and where can I book tickets ?

The toy train runs from January to May and from September to December. It does not operate during the monsoon (June to October).

Tickets can be booked at the Neral station ticket counter. Tickets usually open about 45 minutes before departure and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
